New Hair New Hope

New Hair New Hope is a program that provides customized handmade wigs for women who have lost their hair due to their battles with Alopecia or cancer treatments. This program seeks to locate less fortunate women in our community who are in need of these specialized hairpieces but simply cannot afford them. Our program provides these wigs free of charge to people who qualify based on their medical and financial needs.

Hope Wanted understands the importance of the psychological benefits that these wigs bring. We have partnered with some of the top wigmakers from around the country who are able to construct these hairpieces with the finest craftsmanship available. These wigmakers not only understand the science of making the perfect piece for each client, but just as important, they understand the art, too. Each wig is styled to complement the wearer’s features.

We are able to offer this service by seeking donors who generously provide the funding for this project, one wig at a time. We facilitate a very personal connection between each donor and the recipient of their gift. Donors are given the option of connecting with the participant that receives their gifts so they can correspond back and forth, or they can remain anonymous.
