Hungry for Hope
Even today, in our highly advanced technological society, the disparity between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots' is growing wider. Most of us take the idea of sitting down at a dinner table for granted; it’s just what we do, often two or three times a day. Yet in a country with so many resources and so much wealth, millions of men, women, and children still go to bed hungry each night. We acknowledge that there is a lot being done to help with this problem, but we realize that there is still so much more that can be done.
Hungry for Hope is a collaborative program that empowers our Ambassadors (volunteers) to do their part to fight hunger in their own community. In keeping with our organization's grassroots philosophy, we have designed a program that assists our Ambassadors in leading the effort to feed the hungry by organizing local resources (through family, friends, churches, and community organizations) to host their own Hungry for Hope event.
When you decide to advocate by starting your own food program, we will provide detailed, step-by-step instructions and a checklist to help guide you through the preparation stages. We will promote your event on our website and social media platforms, and we can assist in helping secure the resources that you need to be successful. Giving back in your own way, in your own community, is what this program is about. People are hungry, and through your efforts, you bring more than food - you bring hope.
